Kelly’s Princess Parties are proud to have supported many different charities.
Great Ormond Street Hospital- This is a charity which is very close to our hearts.
We had the honour of going to Great Ormond Street Hospital in January 2019 to have a tour of the hospital. It is truly a magical place and they do so much. We are so proud to support the charity. We had raised £420 for them. We decided to dedicate our donation to the Play Services Team at the hospital. The Play Team ensures that children have access to fun and engaging activities to reduce stress and worry around treatment. They are amazing and do a great job.
Why Great Ormond Street Hospital?
Kelly’s Nephew had Transition of the Great Arteries. The condition was picked up at the 20 week scan. He was born in London University Hospital at 38 weeks, where 11 doctors and nurses were waiting in the next room, he had a Balloon Atrial Septostomy at just a few minutes old. At 3 days old he was transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital, where at 6 days old, had the Arterial Switch operation. He made a good recovery and went home at 19 days old. He is now approaching his 5th birthday and lives a normal life with regular heart check ups. The hospital and all the staff were very supportive throughout the whole time.
Cynthia Spencer Hospice-
This is another charity which is very close to our hearts.
Princess Rachel’s story 💕...
I'm so happy that we are able to put on such a lovely event for to raise money for Cynthia Spencer. There team is so hard working and did everything they can for my mum.
When my mum entered the hospice she was extremely poorly and had no quality of life. However in just 2 weeks, they managed to get her back to her normal self, eating, walking and living her life so she could come home.
They made everything personal and made us feel at home. Sadly my mum lost her battle with cancer on Saturday 7th December, 2019 so I am supporting this event and charity for families who need Cynitha Spencer like we did.
Princess Stephanie's story 💕...
I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful event, supporting an amazing charity that is very close to my heart.
My lovely Dad spent the last week of his life in Cynthia Spencer hospice and the staff there was absolutely amazing. They made my Dad so comfortable and nothing was ever too much for them. My dad even said “I love it here”.
I will always remember how kind and patient everyone was who worked there and how much they helped us a a family. The nurses and doctors there are second to none and they made the last week of my dad’s life so very peaceful. I will never forget all they did for my lovely Dad.
